Upcoming Events - Mark Your Calendars!
This is a busy time of year at Manor UMC. Here is a list of events we have coming up in the next few months with a brief description of what they are. For a chronological list of upcoming events scroll down past the definitions and be sure to update your calendars to participate.
- This year we are so blessed to be able to celebrate our 170th year as a church in Manor on October 6th. We will be having a special service that morning with a full celebration following. We hope you will come out and join us.
- Coat Extravaganza - This is held in October and we will have coats, hats, scarfs, sweaters and jackets to give out to the community. These are free items with limitations on the quantity you can get per person.
- Thanksgiving dinner and Silent Auction - In lieu of our monthly potluck lunch we host a Thanksgiving meal. This is a fundraiser for the ministries of the church so we do charge for this meal by the plate. We also host an online silent auction. More details and links coming soon!
- CHRISTmas Shoppe - All year we accept gifts and donations of items that we use to share to the community in our Shoppe. We put all the children's gifts in one building where the parents can shop and we put items in another building for the children to shop for presents for their parents. We usually have a couple of projects for the children to do as well such as cookie decorating and some type of craft project as well. ALL the gifts are free with limitations on how many items per person each can have.

December 2024 - 5 Star Month!
*5 Star giving month is every month in which there are 5 Sundays. A special offering is taken up each Sunday during that month for a specific cause. If you are giving online and wish to contribute, just write a note of how much of your donation you would like to contribute to the 5 Star Offering.

- September 12th - DEADLINE for Hats, Scarfs, Sweaters, Jackets and Coats to be donated for Coat Drive
- September 17th - Church Council Meeting 5-6:30pm
- September 18th - Hope reSTORED 4-6pm
- September 20th - Deadline for Newsletter entries (Tentative)
- September 25th - Meals with Manor and Food Pantry 6-7pm
- September 29th - Church Council Quarterly Planning to discuss future events and ministries of the church. All are welcome to attend.
