Pastor's Corner

Reflections:
We had 2 people join our church in October. They are: Ruben Garza and Colleen LaSoya. Our
church keeps growing and growing! Hallelujah, praise the Lord!

Guess what! How many items did we get for the online auction? Did we get 25? 50? 75? 100?
125? NO, we had 148 items for sale at the online auction! Isn’t that just amazing! As I write, I
don’t know any figures for the sale, but how blessed we are to have SO many items to be
included in this. Thanks be to God!

The Market Day and the Garage Sale was a great success too. We had many people come and participate. For each person who had a booth, volunteered, or purchased items, we give God an AMEN!

Do you know how much God has blessed us through others? We have received generous
donations from the Manor HEB grocery store, La Mexicana Supermercado, and Bluebonnet
Electric! In total, we have received from these three entities $9,000.00. Do I hear an AMEN?
And what are these donations for? They are for our ministries. We will be able to make a big
difference for the families that come to us in need. God has and is using us as a vessel to love
on his children. And that deserves another AMEN!

The Mission of Love from now until the end of the year will be collecting items for those who are homeless. We will collect:
Water Bottles – Slim Jims – Peanut Butter Crackers
Toiletries – Dog Food
Blankets – Coats – Socks – Gloves – Hats
We ask you to bring any of those items, or others you choose to donate, to help us love those
who are less fortunate than us. There is a plastic container at the front door of the fellowship
with a sign reading: Mission of Love Donations. You may leave your items there.

You may have seen on the news about the HEB Grand Opening Ceremony that we were
privileged to be a part of. Nancy, Ben, Kathy, Vicki, Michele, and I were present at the
ceremony. It was a BLAST! We visited with community people, made connections, and enjoyed the event. Our church was represented well!

Another outing our church participated in was Night at Timmerman Park. There were SO many people that came out. We handed out a bunch of candy to kids. It was such a wonderful
experience to be present in the community and let them know we are here, and we care. Amen,
Amen, and Amen.

Upcoming...
November is just as busy as October was! As you read this, the 95th Annual Turkey Dinner will have been completed. Look for more details about it next month under Reflections.

We will have our Yearly Charge Conference on Nov. 9th at Pflugerville UMC beginning at
3pm. Everyone is welcome to participate. See Pastor for more details.

Along with the financial gifts we have received, we have also been blessed to be a donation
location for Turkey boxes from El Buen Samaritano. The American Legion was instrumental in helping us make the connection with them. El Buen Samaritano is giving us 20 boxes of food for families to help them with their Turkey meal. I have contacted Manor ISD Student and Family Support Services, and they will be identifying 20 families who need assistance. We will pick up the boxes from El Buen Samaritano on November 22nd, and the families chosen will come to our fellowship hall to pick up their box of food. This is a blessing for us to be the hands and feet of Christ to our community. Thanks be to God.

Our next Quarterly Planning Meeting is on November 30th immediately following worship. We will be planning the events for January through March 2026. Everyone is encouraged to attend. It’s important that we plan together.

Advent begins this year on November 30th also. We will be having an Advent Bible Study going on in December. I need EVERYONE who is interested to contact the Pastor.
