Fall at Manor UMC
October 24-November 4: On-line Auction We will have wonderful items in our silent auction, some of which are made by our members, and some of which are donated by friends of MUMC. As soon as the Auction coordinator shares the link, it will be here, just waiting for you to peruse and bid on any or all of the fabulous items. All items must be paid for before pick up. Pick up is on Saturday, November 5.
October 26: Meals with Manor: On the last Wednesday evening of every month, the church prepares a home cooked meal and bags of groceries for those who like to eat. Come by our drive thru lane between 6-7, and tell us how many meals you would like to take. Remember, we are happy to provide supper for your family, and your neighbors if you would like to deliver them for us. If you need a bag of groceries, and we still have any available, we will set one of those in your car also.
October 30: We Have a Guest Worship Leader! Fritzi Simmons, the District Lay Speaker Coordinator for the Crossroads District will be filling in the pulpit while our pastor is out of town, attending her 40th high school class reunion. Fritzi will be speaking on the extravagant generosity of our Lord.
October 30: Our church, led by Thom and Jenise Baker, will be hosting a Pumpkin decorating/carving station at the Manor Lions Club Trunk or Treat. Come by and get a little candy, fancy up that pumpkin and meet some of the people of Manor UMC.
November 5th: The 92nd Turkey Dinner Fundraiser: if you love a good turkey dinner, with dressing, green beans and pie, we are the place to visit. The church started this tradition when people from the surrounding area came to Manor to vote. They needed to eat before heading home, so some enterprising Methodist decided to feed the people and support the church at the same time. When prices for the meal and the full menu are available, as well as the drive-thrus serving times, it will be posted here.
